Born February 19th 1979 in Paris
Alexandra Karamisaris gets acquainted with the stage in 1989 at the Boris Vian Foundation in Paris. She acts, directs plays and teaches theater in her hometown from 1998 until her departure for Switzerland in 2003.
In 2006, after graduating at Les Teintureries in Lausanne, she works as an actress in French-speaking Switzerland, notably in 2009, in the first feature film by Séverine Cornamusaz : "Coeur Animal".
In 2008, having graduated with a major in dramaturgy from the University of Lausanne, she decides to discover the other side of the camera. She's back in Paris in 2009 studying film-making at the Paris 1 - Panthéon-Sorbonne University. In 2016, she obtains a Master degree in Cinema.
She has directed short films : "The Swirl of Life" (2015) and most notably "Colette and the Room B-12" (2016) selected in many festivals around the world.
Since 2020, she has been working in Vevey, Switzerland as coordinator and production manager for Dreampixies, Emmanuel Gétaz' film production company.
